Following the successful debunking of the false rumors regarding alleged bandit activities in Obantoko, the Chief of Staff to the National Chairman PCRC, who also doubles as the Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Adatan Area Command, Hon. Akinlabi Taiwo, continued his sensitization and confidence-building visits to schools within the community.
During a visit to Nawair-Ud-Deen Grammar School, Obantoko, Hon. Taiwo addressed students on the importance of discipline as a foundation for academic success and responsible citizenship. He emphasized that discipline remains one of the most valuable qualities any student can possess, as it shapes character, promotes excellence, and prepares young people for future leadership roles.
Speaking further, the Chairman warned against the dangers of moral decadence, noting that negative behaviors such as disrespect, cultism, drug abuse, dishonesty, and other social vices can derail the future of promising youths. He encouraged the students to uphold good values, remain focused on their studies, and become positive ambassadors of their families and communities.
Hon. Taiwo also spoke on the issues of punctuality and truancy, urging students to cultivate the habit of arriving at school on time and attending classes regularly. According to him, consistent lateness and absenteeism are barriers to academic achievement and personal development.
The visit formed part of the PCRC's ongoing commitment to community engagement, youth development, and the promotion of a safe and conducive learning environment across schools within the Adatan Area Command.
The students and school management appreciated the visit and the valuable lessons shared, describing the interaction as timely, enlightening, and inspiring.
Together, we can build a generation of disciplined, responsible, and productive citizens.
